Renewal Payments
Renewal applications will not be completed or approved until CCIDC has received the full amount due and all renewal requirements have been satisfied.
Payment plans may be considered only during the first invoice period and require prior written approval from CCIDC. All installments must be paid before the certification expiration date. Approval of a payment plan does not extend the expiration date or renew a certification. Contact the CCIDC Office to request a payment plan.
Emeritus Status is not eligible for discounts or payment plans.
Refunds and Payment Corrections
Except as otherwise required by applicable law, fees paid to CCIDC are nonrefundable once the applicable application, examination registration, renewal, replacement, reactivation, or other requested service has been submitted for processing.
CCIDC will review requests involving duplicate payments, overpayments, payments made in error, unauthorized transactions, or services that CCIDC is unable to provide. Any refund or correction determined to be due will be returned to the original payment method when reasonably possible.
This policy does not limit any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable federal or California law.
Contact Information and Renewal Notices
Certified Interior Designers are responsible for maintaining current mailing and email addresses in their CID Account. Renewal notices are provided as a courtesy. Failure to receive a notice because of incorrect, incomplete, or outdated contact information does not extend a certification expiration date or waive applicable renewal requirements or fees.
Late Renewals and Delinquent Status
Payments received after the certification expiration date are subject to the late fees disclosed in CCIDC’s published fee schedule and applicable at the time payment is submitted.
A renewal that is not completed by the expiration date will be placed in Delinquent status. Certification is not considered renewed while required fees, continuing education, or other renewal requirements remain outstanding.
A certification that remains delinquent for four years will expire under CCIDC’s applicable bylaws, administrative rules, and procedures. A person whose certification has expired must submit a new application, satisfy the requirements in effect at the time of application, pay all applicable fees, and pass the IDEX® California Exam if required by those rules.
Continuing Education
Completion and reporting of the required continuing education units are mandatory components of the biennial renewal process. Continuing education must be completed by the certification expiration date and reported through the CID Account in accordance with CCIDC’s administrative rules.
Payment alone does not complete a renewal. CID status will remain Delinquent until all required fees have been paid and all continuing education and other renewal requirements have been satisfied.
Credit Card Payments
CCIDC accepts Visa and Mastercard. Credit and debit card payments are processed through a secure third-party payment system accessed through the CID Account.
CCIDC does not accept credit card payments by telephone. Complete credit card numbers are not stored by CCIDC and must be entered for each transaction. Card and personal information will be handled in accordance with CCIDC’s privacy policy and applicable law.
CCIDC does not automatically charge a CID for future renewal periods. Each renewal payment must be affirmatively authorized and submitted by the CID.
Check Payments
Checks may be mailed to:
CCIDC, Inc.
365 W. Second Ave., Suite 221
Escondido, CA 92025
A check payment is considered received when it is delivered to and accepted by CCIDC, not when it is mailed. CIDs should allow sufficient mailing and processing time before the expiration date.
Any returned-check service charge will not exceed the amount permitted by California law. A service charge will not be imposed when prohibited by law, including when the payer provides documentation establishing an applicable statutory exception.
Payment Timing
Certified Interior Designers are responsible for submitting payments and completing all renewal requirements on time. Technical difficulties, mailing delays, incomplete submissions, declined transactions, or failure to receive a renewal notice do not automatically extend the expiration date.
If a payment appears to have been processed incorrectly, contact CCIDC promptly at 760.294.1936 or ccidc@ccidc.org.
