The Interior Designer position involves task on projects through the following phases: design, design development, construction document, permitting/bidding, and construction administration.
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
The Interior Designer serves as a support role on projects, is accountable for Assisting in; research and selection of materials, developing presentations, specification of FF&E packages, perform construction administration duties, coordinates with engineering consultants, and communicates with clients.
Minimum Qualifications:
We seek a self-motivated, team inspired individual that possesses the ability to multi-task and excellent time management skills. This person will work in close collaboration with architects, interior designers, contractors, and clients to design a variety of healthcare project types. You have 2-5 years’ experience in an architectural firm and are experienced in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, proficient with Microsoft Office, and adept in design.

Talent Summary:
The Interior Designer will assist in the design and development of projects, will produce design presentation material, and will assist in the production and documentation of construction documents. Must be able to demonstrate basic knowledge in architectural CAD and/or drafting and design development. Must have a willingness to expand knowledge in architecture, architectural design techniques/ technology, and application of interior design principles.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Prefer BS in Architecture, Interior Design, or related discipline
Experience: Minimum of 4-5 years interior designer experience, preferably in k-12 educational facilities, community colleges, public works, medical/hospital facilities, or retail projects.
Certification: CID or NCIDQ accreditation preferred
Supervision and Delegation:

- Ability to use creativity and original thinking in design issues with a keen eye for detail and exemplary taste in design and architecture
- Ability to effectively participate in office design charettes, team design critiques and pin-ups
- Ability to use advanced design communication skills via sketching and hand drawings
- Ability to follow the design intent of graphic and verbal direction
- Ability to research materials/ manufacturers and provide cost analysis based on area calculations
- Ability to participate in the development of 3D modeling of projects.
- Prepare various design communication and presentation materials including sketches, rendered 2D & 3D drawings, rendered perspectives, slide shows and material selection boards/ binders

You will work hand-in-hand with our designers on residential remodels and makeovers.
Duties include:
*Assist designers with as-built measurements,
*Draft as-built plans using CAD,
*Revise proposed plans, elevations and perspectives in CAD,
*Source finishes, fixtures and equipment per the specifications of our interior designers,
*Check finishes, fixtures and equipment for suitability and compliance with applicable codes,
*Follow up by email or phone with vendors and clients,
*Assist our administrative assistant, database coordinator and other staff as needed.
Must have car, laptop computer (capable of running CAD) and cellular phone for work use. We reimburse for mileage driven on company business but not for cell phone or laptop use.
Hours are Monday through Friday, 4-5 hours per day. There is some flexibility to start and stop time but hours must be worked during the day. Must also be available for evening and weekend client meetings as needed.
