CID participation matters. Here is how you can help strengthen the case for certification and title protection.

Why This Matters to Your Certification
CCIDC will be reviewed by the California Legislature through the Sunset Review process. This is a pivotal moment for Certified Interior Designers across the state. This review is not routine paperwork. It is the Legislature’s formal evaluation of whether CCIDC should continue, be modified, or be eliminated. Lawmakers will assess how effectively certification protects the public and whether the program remains necessary. At stake is the strength and recognition of your credential.
What the Legislature Will Examine
During the Sunset Review, legislators will evaluate:
- How CCIDC certifies interior designers
- How standards are enforced
