CCIDC is searching for a new public board member.
Public Board Directors (per the CCIDC Bylaws) are:
Individuals who shall not be professionally familiar and associated with the design, construction, building, or furniture industries. This eliminates CIDs, those related to or living with a CID, architects, engineers, contractors, building officials, and other professionals associated with the built environment.
The purpose of a public board member is to represent the interests of the California consumer and general public on the board without any appearance of conflict of interest.
All board members are required
to attend all board meetings of which there are 3 per year that rotate between various locations across the state, typically Los Angeles/Orange County, San Francisco/Bay Area, and San Diego. The term for each board member is 3 years with the option of serving two terms. All travel and incidental expenses are paid for by CCIDC.
All board members are approved by the board
at the next available board meeting after selection by the nominating committee and a staff orientation. All candidates for becoming a CCIDC board member must be of good moral character in sympathy with the objectives of the board.
If you, or anyone you know, is interested, please submit a brief resume or bio to CCIDCoffice@gmail.com
