Part One Trends and the Function of Color. Zara Stender tracks national and international color trends and forecasts as a leader in Color Marketing Group, one of
the foremost authorities on the impact of color. Stender will explain how color trends evolve, and discuss direction in color for fashion, durable goods, the built environment,
and why successful color must follow function. Part Two Psychology of Color Do people really spend more money when they are
surrounded by red and purple? Color is a powerful, often misunderstood tool. It has biological and physiological influence on mood, energy, appetite, pain perception, hot and
cold sensation, taste, I.Q. scores, and, yes, buying decisions. Explore the biological and psychological impact of color.

IDEC and ASID letters regarding the CCIDC board As some of you may, or may not be aware, CCIDC recently received letters from both

U.S. Calls for Homes With Chinese Drywall to Be Gutted The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has received about 3,082 reports
from residents in 37 states, the District of Columbia, American Samoa, and Puerto Rico who believe their health symptoms or the corrosion of certain metal components in their
homes are related to problem drywall. State and local authorities have also received similar reports. Based on scientific study of the problem to date, HUD and CPSC recommend
consumers remove all possible problem drywall from their homes, and replace electrical components and wiring, gas service piping, fire suppression sprinkler systems, smoke

Title-24 Energy Code - Summary of new changes
Changes to the residential standards:
The new Title-24 residential lighting requirements divide the home into three distinct zones that are treated very differently. The first zone is the kitchen.
The second zone includes all the bathrooms, garages, laundry rooms, and utility rooms which must have either high efficacy fixtures or they must have vacancy sensors installed that control the low efficacy fixtures.
