Douglas Stead to speak at Interior Design Student Career Day on
Saturday, October 16, 2010 in Irvine, CA

Douglas R Stead, CID and Executive Director of CCIDC will speak with students in a round-table discussion about his experience as a commerial interior designer (offices, schools, government, healthcare, hospitality projects).

In addition, he will give all students attending Career Day a full Certification and IDEX California presentation at lunchtime. Students will learn what exam is required to become a Certified Interior Designer in California; whether they need work experience before they can sit for the IDEX California; and the various paths and advantages to becoming a Certified Interior Designer.

Career Day will also have other design professionals to help students find out:

   * How do you make the quantum leap from interior design student to practicing professional?
   * Where are the profit centers?
   * What can you do now to safeguard your future opportunities?
   * How do you make connections in the working world?

Join us for an interactive day to find answers to these and many more questions.
